Ultimate Zombie Gun, 9 Barrel Shotgun

  1. Sorry, Not a shotgun but a nine barrel rifle. Look closely at the muzzles of the barrels. You can see rifling inside them. Shotguns would be smooth.

  2. It's actually a blackpowder flintlock volley gun from the 18th century. A volley gun has several barrels for firing a number of shots simultaneously. I labeled it as a zombie killing shotgun as I felt that was a more humorous description and fit in better with the theme of the blog, rather than the dry and humorless description just given.

  4. And to be fair, shotgun barrels can be rifled for firing slugs. The slugs can be rifled for use in smoothbore shotguns, but there's certainly a market for rifled shotguns. And a rifled shotgun can still fire shot as the shot is contained in the wadding while it's traveling down the barrel.

  5. Yeah, because firing faster out of ONE barrel is stupid and reloading this looks like a breeze in a high pressure situation like a zombie apocalypse.

  6. ^Actually, volley guns were pretty effective. Aside from the early ones or very high caliber types, they weren't that hard or slow to reload either. That said, remains a mounted weapon.

  7. Some shotguns have rifled ends, in doesn't affect buck, but helps with shooting slughs sharply.
