When they filmed this scene Chuck kept beating Bruce Lee, finally he agreed to shave off his beard, then while still in a weakened state from the loss of his beard, they shot the scene and made it look like Chuck lost. The part where it looks like Chuck is dying is actually Chuck going through the pre-metamorphasis stage as his beard regenerates. Tragically, Bruce Lee died a year later in a delayed reaction to the Chuck Norris roundhouse kick that he received during the filming of the fight.
